The RC Sample Book List:
The Robinson Curriculum book list that appears on the CD’s and instructions is in order according to your childs’ progression through the curriculum.
This list on the other hand, is a gathering of nine books from the list- not necessarily in order, but a snap shot of what you can expect in the reading curriculum.
I’ve included links to provide you with a summary of each book, (which appears on Amazon). Of course, you can also order the books, and I recommend it-
These are books that I, myself have ordered. I like to read or skim them so that I know the content before I assign them to the boys!
We have a short discussion about the reading of the day when they finish, and I like to know that they really are understanding the stories!

A Thoughtful Mix
So many books in the Robinson Curriculum- I find a genuine balance between historical non- fiction, children’s fiction and classic literature!
I prefer the classics and here’s why you should too-
You’ll notice in bookstores and online that the more popular books for children lately seem very dumb. To be blunt, the language in children’s books is extremely simple, to the point that words don’t promote imagination anymore!
In pre-reading my kid’s RC books, I’ve realized just how much I probably would’ve enjoyed reading if I had started with these classics!
The vocabulary is challenging. I think that’s a really good thing, considering the limited scope of language we have in society today!
I hope you’ll give these books a try. My kids have responded really well to the books, and widened their vocabulary in the process!
